Misalignment Design & Print Online (Specific Browsers)

Printing with Safari

  • In Preview and Print  select Print it Yourself (if it applies) or Print now
  • The Your design is Ready to Print window will appear, select the green button Open PDF    *Once the page opens, DO NOT PRINT YET.
  • Move your mouse on the screen so a tool bar appears. ( it will most likely appear on the bottom of the screen)

  • Click on the 3rd icon that looks like two pages together. This is the PDF print option.
  • This will open the actual PDF
  • Now click on file and print.
(you can also:  open the  PDF and want it opened in Preview instead of Safari, just hit Cmd+A or Select All from the Edit menu, now right-clicking shows you the Open with Preview option again.


Printing with Google Chrome

  • When printing from Google Chrome, you will want to make sure that your Scale is set properly before printing.
  • Select the Green Open PDF 
  • On the left look for your print dialogue box
  • Check that your paper size is set properly for the product you are printing on
  • Select More Settings 
  • Make sure that Scale is set to Default or Custom Scale is set to 100 (see image below)
  • We then recommend doing a test print on plain paper
  • Once you confirm that the project prints properly on paper, feed your label sheet and print directly on the labels.


Printing with Firefox

  • Click on the 3 Horizontal Bars in the top right of the browser window
  • Click on Options (or Preferences for Mac users)
  • From the Options window Click on Applications across the top
  • Go down to Portable Document Format (PDF)
  • To the right click on the dropdown and Choose Adobe Reader (Default)
  • Click on Ok and close the window
  • When you select Download PDF, Firefox will now allow you to open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader (see image below)


  • Once the PDF opens, make sure that Actual Size is selected or that Custom Scale is set to 100%
  • We then recommend doing a test print on plain paper
  • Once you confirm that the project prints properly on paper, feed your label sheet and print directly on the labels.


Printing with Microsoft Edge

  • In Design & Print Online, on the Preview & Print page, select Print it Yourself and then Get PDF to Print.
  • The Printing Tips window will appear, so review and follow those tips and select the green button Open PDF
  • The PDF will open in a separate browser window. In the upper right side, select the Printer Icon.
  • Check that the Paper Size is set correctly for your Avery Product and that the Scale is set to 100. Do not select Fit to printable area.
  • We recommend doing a test print on plain paper. 
  • Once you confirm that the project prints properly on paper, feed your label sheet and print directly on the labels.
  • If it is not aligning properly on the labels, select Print Using System Dialog and in your printer Preferences or Properties try to select a labels or cardstock paper type option.
